HeLLO!
My name is Madison but my close friends from home and family call me ‘Madi’ or ‘Mads’. I am a graduate of Elon University and graduated from the business school with honors as a double-major in Marketing and Finance. I was born and raised right outside of Raleigh, NC. If I don’t have a camera in my hand, when the weather is warmer, I enjoy spending time on the lake paddle-boarding and listening to country music.
My creative journey began long before the summer of 2020, but interning at The White House in the Photo Office sure kicked things into high gear. That summer, I fell in love with telling a story and decided to start capturing one of the biggest milestones my peers would encounter during their time on campus, graduating! Before long, @madimccartphoto replaced my former position as Athletics photographer on campus and allowed me to pursue my own path of creative entrepreneurship.
I eventually landed an internship with Lockheed Martin Communications after a couple rotations with the finance team and it became pretty clear, this was a path I wanted to follow. I was lucky enough to start freelancing for a family friend and pick-up another internship during my final fall semester with Mary Square, LLC both giving me the opportunity to learn even more about digital advertising & eCommerce marketing.
Today, I am fortunate to have worked with several companies and people across North Carolina to bring them meaningful content that is authentic to their brand and, as I move to DC to follow my dreams, I can only hope my network expands - allowing me to do the same across the DMV.
